This project comprises the refurbishment of a dwelling within the Eakring Conservation Area, re-imagined around a traditional farmhouse-style courtyard.
The existing building has been carefully repaired and upgraded to retain its historic character, while improving layout, comfort and performance. A contemporary extension addresses the courtyard and garden elevations, clearly expressed yet sympathetic in scale and materials.
Large areas of glazing frame views across the beautifully landscaped gardens and surrounding countryside, bringing daylight deep into the plan and strengthening the relationship between inside and out. The courtyard becomes the social heart of the home, creating a sheltered outdoor space that unifies old and new while supporting flexible, modern living within a sensitive heritage setting.
